The Tenby Chase Sharks are very proud of their new coaching staff.  They bring experience and an understanding of summer swimming in Tri-County.  While each of the coaches has been very successful in their own right, the team spirit and fun that the coaches emphasize with the team is second to none.

Head Coach Katie Ruff - Katie was a lifelong Shark from the 80s and 90s and has been coaching for the past ten years at the college, high school, club, and Tri-County levels.  She has overseen learn to swim programs as well as the most competitive levels of swimming.  After earning her Masters at the University of Wyoming and starting a family there, she is moving back to Delran with her husband and two small boys to settle down. She is still an active swimmer and runner and participates regularly in marathons. That energy can also be seen on the pool deck during practice and meets, giving pointers and shouting out encouragement. We are very happy to have Coach Katie rejoin the Shark family!

Assistant Coach Ronessa Selfridge -  Ronessa may be familiar to the Sharks as she has been the head coach at Wenonah for the past two years and led them to an E Division title in 2008. She is also the head coach for the Williamstown High School swim team where she teaches math as well. Ronessa’s analytic skills have helped her with devising practice schedules and routines to bring out a swimmer's best and she has become a master of the Meet Manager software and creative meet sheets that maximize the team’s scoring potential. We are very excited that Ronessa is becoming part of the team.

Assistant Coach Seamus Kennedy -  Seamus is well known to all of the Sharks, both from his record setting days in the pool for the Sharks as well as being a fixture around the club as a lifeguard. He is finishing his sophomore year at the University of Delaware and is finally recovering from knee surgery and anxious to get back into the pool and impart his racing knowledge to our eager Sharks. We’re glad to have Seamus back on the team.

Swim Fast!  Have Fun!
