July 30th 2011
The Burlington County
Championship was a great
success as the Tenby Chase
Sharks won the prize for the
best parade team and also
swam really, really fast in
the pool, moving up two
spots to secure 6th place
overall, only 10 points
behind A Division Pomona,
our highest finish in five
years. The E Division
Champion t-shirts looked
great and Brian Yansak was fantastic in the
shark costume as our team
strutted their stuff around
the pool, holding up the
“5-0,” “Shark Attack,” “We
‘D’ Best,” and “Fear the
Fin” signs. Go Sharks!
The list of our Top 3
finishers is quite lengthy.
Burlington County has three
A division and two B
division teams so finishing
high in this meet is a
challenge, one that the
Sharks embraced fully
today. What was even more
impressive was how many
Sharks individually and in
relays lowered time with
several relays posting
really fast times that would
put them in or close to the
Top 10 in all of
Tri-County. Look out
Wexford Leas for a feeding
frenzy on Saturday. The
highlights, aside from the
Clerk of Course telling
really bad swim jokes and
Harry Potter jokes to the
swimmers in the staging
area, included our 11-12
boys taking it to Pheasant
Run and coming away
victorious in the 11-12 boys
200 free relay. Sam Gray
started off with the relay
with a lead that Matt, Liam,
and Dennis maintained with
Shark Mommas rocking the
stands, screaming and
jumping for joy. Relay
victories at Burlington
County only come around once
every four or five years for
the Sharks so be proud of a
job well done, gentlemen,
Earlier, Sam followed in the
footsteps of the only
Tri-County Olympic Gold
Medalist, Tenby Chase’s
Carli Lloyd, and took his
soccer cross training to the
next level in a come from
behind win in the 50 free
against one of his soccer
teammates. Success in a
meet like this is a
testament to everyone’s hard
work and great preparation
from Coach Katie and Ronessa
and Seamus (wearing a tuxedo
today, hopefully not of the
Speedo variety, in his
brother’s wedding).

July 23rd 2011
Tenby Chase
survived a long drive and a
stifling hot pool and
remained undefeated in
beating Georgetown by 75
points. The “finish hard”
attitude was replaced with
finish, go through the
misting machine, drink some
cold liquids, and find a
spot in the shade. It was
not a day for fast swims but
Tenby Chase still earned 31
of the 46 blue ribbons and
11 of 20 relays. The
victory completes the Sharks
dual meet season with an
unblemished 5-0 mark, their
first undefeated season
since 2004. Congratulations
coaches and swimmers for a
great season and E Division
Championship!
Nine double winners for
Tenby Chase:
Girls: Mackenzie O’Leary
(8&U 25 Breast & Fly), Riley

50 Breast), McKenna Reynolds
(15-18 50 Breast & 50 Fly),
and Molly Skotarczak (100

We had one new swimmer
qualify for the Tri-County
Championship which brings
the team total up to 24.
The new qualifier was Sean

July 16th 2011
What a wonderful day for
Tenby Chase! Whatever
obstacles were placed in our
way, pools closing, B meets
switched, practices at
Meadowbrook, it did not
phase the Sharks. No siree, the entire team
from the tiniest minnow to
the scruffiest senior
stepped up and contributed.
The “finish hard” attitude
was apparent early as five
of the medley relays were
decided by 3 seconds or less
and the Sharks won every one
of them. Just as
importantly, the Sharks
cleaned up in 2nd place
finishes, 29 to 17 to go
along with their 24
individual blue ribbons.
The best-est coaching staff
in Tri-County (Coach Katie,
Ronessa, and Seamus) showed
their stuff today with great
preparation and great
motivation as relay teams
dropped as much as 10
seconds and many swimmers
had their best times of the
year. Last week, we saluted
our seniors. This week, we
salute the coaches,
swimmers, and parents for a
great effort and a well
deserved celebration as E
Division Champions. Well
done, Sharks!
Eight double winners for
Tenby Chase:
Girls: Mackenzie O’Leary
(8&U 25 Free & Breast) and
Makayla Heisler (9-10 25

Gebhardt (13-14 100 IM and
50 Fly), Ryan Gebhardt
(13-14 100 Free and 50
Breast), and Rip Ambrose
(200 IM and 100 Back)
We had three new swimmers
qualify in this meet for the
Tri-County Championship
which brings the team total
up to 23. The new
qualifiers are Riley
Reynolds (8&U 25 Back and 25
Fly), Sarah Jurimas (9-10 25

(11-12 50 Fly). One Shark
qualified in a new stroke:
Ryan Gebhardt (13-14 100
Free). Wonderful swims,
Sharks!
July 9th 2011
The future is so
bright for our six seniors that they
need to wear sunglasses as the sun
shined on Allie, Kira, Brian, Ian,
Michael, and Rip, and the rest of
the Sharks did a great job in the
pool as Tenby Chase won 33 of 46
individual races and 15 of 20 relays
with two of our seniors, Rip and
Brian, leading a come from behind
win in the 200 Free relay in their
last race at TC. The senior cakes
that didn’t wind up on the faces of
our graduates were very yummy. These
seniors have been a great group in
and out of the pool and we wish them
the best as they transition to
college in the fall. Good luck,
seniors! The win keeps the Sharks in
1st place in the E division with a
3-0 record. We had two first time
winners as Sharks with Caroline
Reppert winning the 8&U Girls 25
free and Makayla Heisler winning the
9-10 Girls 25 back. Well done,
ladies!
Ten double winners for Tenby

swimming, Sharks!
June 30th 2011
There was some great
swimming, some great coaching,
some great cheering, some great
cannonballs, and an awesome win
for the Sharks. While foxes are
not typically a good match in
the water with sharks, this meet
required a total team effort as
Fox Hollow really pushed Tenby
Chase and the Sharks responded
with fast swims from all lanes.
It was “Shake and Bake” time for
the coaches, switching up
relays, moving up swimmers and
sneaking away with some extra
points for the team. The Sharks
won the first three races and
six of ten medley relay races to
build a 30 point lead that
slowly increased as the sun
began to set. The win keeps the
Sharks in 1st place in the E
division with a 2-0 record so
now Coach Ronessa is really,
really relaxed for her wedding
day on Saturday. We had one
first time winner as a Shark
with Riley Reynolds winning the
8&U Girls 25 back. Great
swimming, Riley! Go Sharks!!!
Nine double winners for Tenby
Chase:
Girls: Mackenzie O’Leary (8&U 25
Free & 25 Breast), Quinn
Reynolds (13-14 100 IM and 50
Back), and Molly Skotarczak
(15-18 100 Free and 50 Back).
Boys: Zachary Aubrey (8&U 25
Back and 25 Fly), Colin Heisler
(8&U 25 Free and 25 Breast),
Matt Skotarczak (11-12 100 IM
and 50 Fly), Ryan Gebhardt
(13-14 100 Free and 50 Breast),
Rip Ambrose (15-18 100 Free and
100 Back), and Henry Blosfelds
(15-18 100 Breast and 50 Fly).
The Sharks had three new
swimmers qualify in this meet
for the Tri-County Championship.
The new qualifiers were Emma
Blosfelds (11-12 50 Breast),
Brianna Hatzold (11-12 50 Free),
and Henry Blosfelds (15-18 100
Breast). We also had nine
swimmers qualify in new strokes:
Mackenzie O’Leary (8&U 25 Free &
25 Breast), Zachary Aubrey (8&U
25 Fly), Colin Heisler (8&U 25
Free), Nick Aubrey (9-10 25
Fly), Emily Sparacio (11-12 50
Fly), Sam Gray (11-12 50 Back),
Liam Pauli (11-12 100 IM),
Dennis Rooney (11-12 50 Fly),
and Matt Skotarczak (11-12 100
IM). Super marvelous swimming,
Sharks!
June 25th 2011
On a beautiful summer
morning, the Sharks began the 2011
season with a positive attitude and
some fast swimming. The talent in
all age groups was evident quickly
as the Sharks won 8 of the 10 medley
relays and became even more evident
later as the Sharks won every free
relay. Overall, Tenby Chase won 29
of 46 individual races and the times
were great for the first race of the
year. The win launches the Sharks
into 1st place in the E division
with a 1-0 record. More importantly,
it means that Coach Ronessa is
relaxed and ready for her wedding
week. We had one first time winner
as a Shark with Sarah Jurimas
winning the 9-10 Girls 25 breast.
Welcome to the Sharks, Sarah!
Boomalahcka, boomalahcka,
shishkoombah, Tenby Chase, Tenby
Chase, Rah Rah Rah!!!
Nine double winners for Tenby Chase:
Girls: Mackenzie O’Leary (8&U 25
Back & 25 Fly) and Quinn Reynolds
(13-14 50 Back and 50 Breast)
Boys: Zachary Aubrey (8&U 25 Free
and 25 Back), Colin Heisler (8&U 25
Breast and 25 Fly), Nick Aubrey
(9-10 25 Breast and 25 Fly), Connor

Matt Gebhardt (13-14 100 IM and 50
Fly), Ryan Gebhardt (13-14 100 Free
and 50 Breast), and Rich Ambrose
(15-18 100 Free and 100 Back).
We had FIFTEEN swimmers qualify in
this meet for the Tri-County
Championship. Mr. Skotarczak may
need wrist surgery after he’s
finished painting all of the
qualifier fins. Tenby Chase
qualifiers are Mackenzie O’Leary
(8&U 25 Back & 25 Fly), Zachary
Aubrey (8&U 25 Back), Colin Heisler
(8&U 25 Breast and 25 Fly), Nick
Aubrey (9-10 25 Breast), Connor
O’Leary (9-10 50 Free and 25 Back),
Emily Sparacio (11-12 100 IM), Sam
Gray (11-12 100 IM and 50 Free),
Liam Pauli (11-12 50 Back and 50
Fly), Dennis Rooney (11-12 100 IM
and 50 Breast), Matt Skotarczak
(11-12 50 Fly), Quinn Reynolds
(13-14 50 Back), Mike Allibone
(13-14 50 Back), Matt Gebhardt
(13-14 100 IM and 50 Fly), Ryan
Gebhardt (13-14 50 Breast), and Rip
Ambrose (15-18 100 Free and 100
Back). Great swimming, Sharks!
July 31st 2010
For the second week in a row, the Sharks drove
to Westwood and swam really fast. Tenby Chase
had a great showing at the 48th Burlington
County Championship meet, finishing in 8th place
overall, just a few points out of 7th place. The
relays did well and many swimmers are peaking at
the right time of the year and Maggie McCann
swam her final, closing, concluding, very last
race as a Shark in the free relay. She and Keith
led the Sharks in the parade and Sharkman is
still snacking on that same pair of
legs and there were
totally awesome t-shirt decorations on everyone,
including Coach Katie, Ronessa, and Seamus.
It was a long day for the swimmers and parents
but the Sharks are looking good for the
Tri-County Championships next weekend.
The Sharks have two new champions in Mackenzie
O'Leary in the 8&U Girls 25 Free and Matt
Gebhardt in the 11-12
Boys 50 Fly.
Congrats, Mackenzie and Matt!
Tenby Chase also
had three Top 3 finishers with Molly
Skotarczak in the 13-14 Girls 100 IM, Michael
Allibone in the 11-12 Boys 50 Back, and Emma
Blosfelds in the 11-12 Girls 50 Breast. Super
marvelous swimming, Sharks!
July 25th 2010
Congratulations to all Sharks that
swam in the mini meet on Sunday. We had an awesome
turnout and brought home the "SECOND PLACE" team trophy.
This was our best year yet!
Congratulations to the following
swimmers for winning a trophy in their age group for
scoring the most points.
5yr boys-First place-Caleb Ruff
5yr boys-Second place-Alex Updike
6yr boys-First place-Zachary Aubrey
7yr girls-Second place-Mackenzie O'Leary
7yr boys-Second place-Colin Heisler
9yr boys-Second place-Nick Aubrey
I can't forget to commend our Adult
Relay team for a job WELL DONE!
They not only took first in the initial relay but had to
come back in a swim off with the second place team. We
SMOKED them!!
Coaches Katie, Ronessa, Seamus and Mr. Miller (Jake and
Taylor's dad) were true SHARKS in the pool..They won the
trophy too!!
July 24th 2010
For the third week in a row, it
started quickly with the Sharks in the lead
after the IMs and halfway the medley relays but
then the Westwood depth started to take control
of the meet and while the Sharks dropped time in
almost all of their relays and there were a ton
of season-best swims, it was not enough in the
end as the Wave won 358 to 196 and the Sharks
ended with a 3-2 record for 3rd place in the
E Division. Coach Katie, Ronessa, and Seamus had
the team prepared and 6 or 7 second drops across
the board for our relays is normally enough to
seal the deal but not this year. On the bright
side, 2011 is the Year of the Shark! Fear the
Fin!!!
One double winner for Tenby Chase:
Boys: Michael Allibone (11-12 50 Free, 50
Back)
We had six new qualifiers so there will
quite a few freshly painted Shark fins
hanging at the club. Kaitlyn Mesisca is a
first-time qualifier as a Shark in the 8&U
girls 25 Free while Emily Sparacio is also a
first-timer in both the 9-10 girls 25 Breast
and 25 Fly. Another first-time qualifier was
Scottie Woodington in the 9-10 Boys 25 Fly.
Congratulations, Kaitlyn, Emily, and
Scottie. The final three new qualifiers were
Nick Aubrey in the 9-10 Boys 25 Breast,
Kelsey Goodwin in the 13-14 Girls 50 Breast
and Ryan Gebhardt in the 13-14 Boys 50
Breast. We had three swimmers qualifying in
new strokes with Liam Pauli in the 11-12
Boys 100 IM, Dennis Rooney in the 11-12 Boys
50 Back and 50 Breast, and Mackenzie O’Leary
in the 8&U Girls 25 Back. Well done, Sharks!
July 17th 2010
Once
again, it started quickly with the Sharks
winning the first five races and continued
with Tenby Chase winning 9 of the 10 medley
relays. As the sun started to heat up the
pool, the Sharks responded by winning 18
relays overall and 32 individual races.
Times are dropping everywhere and a lot of
swimmers are very close to qualifying. The
403 to 151 win over the Water Rats keeps the
Sharks in 2nd place in the division with a
3-1 record. More importantly, it assures
the Sharks of a winning record in the
division which is another testament to the
great job that Coach Katie, Ronessa, and
Seamus have done in their first year. We
had one first time winner as a Shark with
Kaitlyn Mesisca winning the 8&U Girls 25
back and in her 8th year with Tenby Chase,
Emma Blosfelds is finally a double winner.
Boomalahcka, boomalahcka, shishkoombah,
Tenby Chase, Tenby Chase, Rah Rah Rah!!!
Ten
double winners for Tenby Chase:
Girls:
Mackenzie O’Leary (8&U 25 Free & 25 Fly),
Emma Blosfelds (11-12 100 IM & 50 Breast),
Quinn Reynolds (13-14 100 IM and 50 Fly),
and Molly Skotarczak (13-14 50 Breast,
swimming up 15-18 50 Back)
Boys:
Colin Heisler (8&U 25 Back and 25 Breast),
Connor O’Leary (9-10 25 Back and 25 Fly),
Matt Skotarczak (12&U 100 IM, 9-10 50 Free),
Michael Allibone (11-12 50 Free, swimming up
13-14 50 Back), Matt Gebhardt (11-12 50
Back, swimming up 13-14 50 Fly), and Ryan
Gebhardt (13-14 100 IM and 50 Breast).
We had
three swimmers qualifying in new strokes
with Matt Gebhardt in the 11-12 Boys 50 Back
and 50 Breast, Zach Pulley in the 11-12 Boys
50 Back, and Henry Blosfelds in the 15-18
Boys 100 Free. Great swimming, Sharks!
July 10th 2010
It started quickly with the Sharks
winning the first five races and continued with
Tenby Chase winning 9 of the 10 freestyle races.
There was a little thunder to interrupt the free
races but that gave us some extra time to thank
our graduating swimmers, Maggie, Lauren, and
Keith for being such great teammates and such
great role models for what being a Shark is all
about. Enjoy the last few weeks in the pool,
good luck in college, and thanks for the yummy
cake! Once again, it was a total team effort as
21 Sharks won individual races and the team finished
strong by winning 6 of the last 7 free relays.
The 321 to 233 win moves the Sharks into 2nd
place in the division with a 2-1 record. Coach
Katie, Ronessa, and Seamus did a lot of juggling
of relays and moving swimmers up and every which
way and it paid off handsomely. They could not
avoid getting thrown into the pool but
that probably felt drier than the two hours
of non-stop rain. Congrats Keith, Lauren, and
Maggie and well done, Sharks!
Seven double winners for Tenby Chase:
Girls: Brianna Hatzold (11-12 100 IM & 50 Free), Quinn
Reynolds (13-14 100 Free and 50 Back), and Molly
Skotarczak (13-14 50 Fly, swimming up 15-18 100 Free)
Boys: Jake Miller (8&U 25 Back and 25 Breast), Dylan
Pulley (9-10 50 Free and 25 Breast), Matt Gebhardt
(11-12 100 IM and 50 Free), and Ryan Gebhardt (13-14 100
IM and 100 Free).
We had two new Tri-County qualifiers and a few others
qualifying in new strokes. Kelly Mesisca qualified in
the 9-10 Girls 50 Free as well as the 25 Fly while Quinn
Reynolds qualified in the 13-14 Girls 50 Back.
Qualifying in new strokes were Matt Gebhardt in the
11-12 100 IM, and Molly Skotarczak in the 13-14 Girls
100 Free. Great swimming, Sharks!
July 2nd 2010
The fireworks started early at Tenby Chase. It
was a total team effort as 27 Sharks won races
and 18 of the 20 relays were victorious (and we
re-united Molly, Kelsey, Quinn, and Courtney in
the 13-14 girls relays) in a 419 to 134 win to
even our record at 1-1. While Woodcrest was
missing some swimmers due to the holiday, they
still would not have been able to match the
determination and energy of the Sharks. Coach
Katie, Ronessa, and Seamus had everyone prepared
and notched their first win for Tenby Chase and
were also able to avoid getting thrown into the
pool by the team. Congratulations, coaches!
There were several first time winners as Sharks in Zach
Aubrey (8&U Boys 25 free), Colin Heisler (8&U
Boys 25 Breast and 25 Fly), Jake Miller (8&U
Boys 25 Back), Scottie Woodington (9-10 Boys 25
Breast), and Sam Araco (11-12 Girls 50 Free).
Well done, Sharks!
Seven double winners for Tenby Chase:
Girls: Mackenzie O’Leary (8&U 25 freestyle and
25 fly) and Kelly Mesisca (9-10 50 free and 25
fly)
Boys: Colin Heisler (8&U 25 Breast and 25 Fly),
Connor O’Leary (9-10 Boys 50 Free and 25 Back),
Matt Gebhardt (swimming up 13-14 boys 100 free
and 13-14 50 fly), Zach Pulley (11-12 Boys 50
Back and 50 Breast), and Ryan Gebhardt (13-14
boys 100 IM and 50 breast).
We had two new Tri-County qualifiers and several
others qualifying in new strokes. Dennis Rooney
qualified in the 11-12 Boys 100 IM while Emma
Blosfelds celebrated a birthday by qualifying in
the 11-12 Girls 50 Breast. Qualifying in new
strokes were Connor O’Leary in the 9-10 Boys 50
Free and 25 Back, Matt Skotarczak in
the 9-10 Boys 25 Fly, and Molly Skotarczak in
the 13-14 Girls 100 IM. Great swimming, Sharks!
All of the qualifiers can be seen
here.
June 26th 2010
It’s déjà vu all over again
except for the storybook ending. This was a repeat of
last year’s meet with the score going back and forth
with Woodbine. They started strong in the IMs; we did
well in the medley relays. Halfway through the butterfly
races, the Sharks were up by 5. Halfway through the free
relays, the Sharks were up by 4. Unfortunately, it did
not hold up and Woodbine squeaked ahead. While it’s
disappointing, they were so many great swims that should
be applauded. Tenby Chase had five double winners as
well as 16 different swimmers win a race which is pretty
impressive. Emily Sparacio notched her first win as a
Shark in the 9-10 Girls 50 Free and big brother, Alex
Sparacio, came from way behind to win his first race in
the 100 Free. Not to be outdone, Bevan Gebhardt kicked
it up a gear in the last 5 meters and won her first race
in the 8&U Girls 25 Breast. When you combine that with
some of the relay times for a first meet, which were
really, really good, it should mean some wet times are
ahead for Coach Katie, Coach Ronessa, and Coach Seamus.
Double winners for Tenby Chase:
Girls: Mackenzie O’Leary (8&U girls
25 freestyle and 25 fly) and Kelly Mesisca (9-10 girls
25 back and 25 fly)
Boys: Matt Skotarczak (9-10 boys 50
freestyle and 25 back), Matt Gebhardt (11-12 boys 50
free and 50 fly), and Henry Blosfelds (15-18 boys 100
breast and 50 fly).
We had nine Tri-County qualifiers so
there will be lots of new shark fins to hang in the
Qualifiers Shark Tank. Our first qualifier of the year
was Zach Pulley in the 11-12 Boys 100 IM who later also
qualified in the 50 breast. We also had a 2010 Mac
Attack with Mackenzie O’Leary qualifying in both the 25
free and the 25 fly while Big Bro Connor qualified in
the 9-10 Boys 25 Fly. Matt Skotarczak qualified in the
9-10 Boys 50 Free and 25 Back while Molly Skotarczak
qualified in the 13-14 Girls 50 Back. Liam Pauli
qualified in the 11-12 Boys 50 Back and Matt Gebhardt
qualified in the 11-12 Boys 50 Free and 50 Fly while
Mike Allibone qualified in both the 11-12 Boys 50 Back
and Breast and Henry Blosfelds qualified in the 15-18
Boys 50 Fly. Well done, Sharks!
August 2nd 2009
The Sharks had a fine first day at the
Tri-County Championships at Westwood. We
have a lot of relays that swam great and might
finish in the Top 12 and get ribbons.
We also had one record breaking swim today.
After breaking a 33 year old record last week,
the 13-14 boys set their sights on a 27 year old
record set in 1982 by the 200 medley relay team
of Ogon, E Socci, Jerd, O'Donnell. As
chance would have it, the old Shark O'Donnell
was at Tenby Chase yesterday for a reunion and
had his picture taken next to his name on the
record board at about the same time as Mike
Blaser, Tyler Buek, Henry Blosfelds, and Connor
Gebhardt were swimming a 2:12.26 to break the
old record by two seconds.
Well done, gentlemen!
July 25th 2009
The Sharks had a fine Burlington County
Championship meet at Sunnybrook, finishing in
7th place overall, just a few points out of 6th
place. We had a lot of relays drop time and
move up in the scoring; lots of swimmers
achieved personal bests; and a few team records
fell. Sharkman came out of retirement to lead
the team during the parade and Tenby Chase would
have won the Best Team Costumes is such an award
existed. It was a long and hot day but
with all of those great swims, the Sharks are
ready for
Tri-County Meet next weekend.
The Sharks have one new champion in Connor
O'Leary in the 8&U boys 25 butterfly.
Altogether, the Sharks had nine top-three finishes,
more than twice as many as last year.
Nick Aubrey dropped 3/4 of a second to get 2nd
place in the 8&U 25 free. Mike Blaser
dropped the same amount of time in the 13-14 50
back to earn 2nd place and Henry Blosfelds
dropped more than a second in his 13-14 50 fly
race for second place as well. Mike and
Henry joined Tyler Buek and Connor Gebhardt to
earn second place in both the 13-14 boys 200
medley relay and the free relay. Our third
place winners were Mackenzie O'Leary in the 8&U
Girls 25 Fly, Emma Blosfelds in the 9-10 Girls
25 Breast, Dennis Rooney in the 9-10 Boys 25
back, Ryan Gebhardt (without goggles) in the
11-12 Boys 50 free, and Henry in the 100 IM. Well done, Sharks!
We also had two record breaking swims today.
First, Henry broke Josh Lipson's 19 year, 364
day old record in the 13-14 50 fly by 1/3 of a
second with a ti me
of 28.92. The next record to fall was the
oldest Tenby Chase record. It was set in
1976 (so they're all 47 years old today and we
know that 47 year old guys rule (especially if
they're webmasters)) by the 13-14 boys 200 free
team of McClennen, Bob Alfieri, Bob Socci, and T Alfieri
with a time of 1:56. The 2009 13-14 boys
Sharks 200 free relay team led by Connor
Gebhardt, Tyler Buek, Mike Blaser, and Henry
Blosfelds bested the old guys with a new time of
1:55.29. Congratulations, gentlemen!
July 25th 2009
The Riverdel Mini Meet was Sunday, July 19th and
the Sharks did great, finishing in 3rd place as
a team, one spot ahead of the hosts. The
team of Molly Pangretic, Zach Aubrey, Mackenzie
O'Leary, Connor Rooney, Leighanna Gray, Kaitlyn
Mesisca, Ryan Pangretic, Shannon Rooney, Sarah
Sparacio, Dylan Pulley, Nick Aubrey, Connor
O'Leary, Kelly Mesisca, Emily Sparacio, Audrey
Reppert, Emily Brenek, and Matt Skotarczak
enjoyed a bright day of sunshine and enjoyed the
fast times of a 25 yard pool. The
full meet results can be seen
here.
July 18th 2009
The
Sharks enjoyed a 356-195 win in an E Division
meet against Charleston to finish at 4-1 and
earn second place. With Tenby Chase winning the
first eight medley relays, it was a great way to
make sure that our graduating seniors, Brieanne,
Brielle, Paige, and Kristen left on a high
note. Kristen and Brielle each won an event to
make it even nicer. It was great to have Kathy
Fitzpatrick back to give those heartfelt
speeches to the girls and we know that the
future is very bright for all of them. The
Sharks ended up winning 16 of the 20 relays and
won 29 individual events and had five double
winners so 24 different swimmers won events for
the Sharks.
The Sharks had five double wininers:
GIRLS: Quinn Reynolds (11-12
girls 50 back and 50 fly)
BOYS: Liam Pauli (9-10 boys
50 free and 25 back), Matt Gebhardt (11-12 boys 50 back and 50 fly), Ryan
Gebhardt (11-12 boys 50 free and 50 breast), and Henry Blosfelds (13-14 boys
50 breast and 50 fly).
We have three new Tri-County
qualifiers, bumping our total up to twenty. Allie Mee started us off with a
qualifying time in the 9-10 girls 25 Back, then Sam Gray qualified in the
9-10 boys 25 Breast while Zach Pulley qualified in the 11-12 boys 50
breast. Congratulations, Sharks! We also had several Sharks qualifying in
additional strokes: Larissa Hatzold (8&U girls 25 breast), Dylan Pulley
(8&U boys 25 free), Matt Skotarczak (9-10 boys 25 back), Mike Allibone
(11-12 boys 100 IM), and Mike Blaser (13-14 boys 50 back). Go Sharks!
All of our qualifiers can be seen
here.
Last but not least, the Sharks finally
broke a record. It’s been two years since the record book needed updating
and this is probably just the beginning with Burlington County and
Tri-County in the upcoming weeks. The record was from 2003 in the 8&U 25
meter boys butterfly, set by Henry Blosfelds with a time of 18.97. Connor
O’Leary had his sights on this record all year and had an awesome swim in
besting Henry’s record with a time of 18.68. Well done, Connor!
July 11th 2009
The Sharks had some great swims but fell a
little short to Old Orchard, 305 to 247. The
Otters had a little more depth than the Sharks
and that was enough to seal the deal.
Six double winners for Tenby Chase:
Boys: Nick Aubrey (8&U boys 25 breast and
25 fly), Connor O’Leary (8&U boys 25 free and
25 back), Liam Pauli (9-10 boys 50 free and 25
back), Dennis Rooney (9-10 boys 25 breast and 25
fly), Henry Blosfelds (13-14 boys 100 IM and 50
back), and Rich Ambrose (15-18 boys 200 IM
and 100 back).
We had three new qualifiers, all of them first
time qualifiers at that. Brianna Hatzold
qualified in the 9-10 girls 50 free while Dylan
Pulley qualified in the 8&U boys breast.
We also had our first 6-year old qualifier since
Henry in 2001 with Mackenzie O'Leary qualifying
in the 8&U 25 free. Well done, Sharks!
We also had some Sharks qualifying in additional
strokes so there will be new fins and fresh paint
if Mr. S's elbow heals: Larissa Hatzold (8&U
Girls
25 Fly) and Henry Blosfelds
(13-14 Boys 50 Back). Great swimming, Sharks! All of our qualifiers can be seen
here.
July 2nd 2009
The Sharks had a very
exciting, come from behind victory against the
Gators of Woodbine with a final score of 284 to
268. These were two evenly matched teams as each
won 23 of the 46 individual races and each team
won 10 of the 20 relays. We were 6 points behind
after freestyle, then 2 points ahead after
backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Then,
the lights in the pool were turned on and the
free relays started clicking with the 13-14
freestyle relay team of Quinn, Taylor, Molly,
and Courtney clinching the meet in their best
time of the year, followed by the boys touching
out the Gators for our final points. When the
final score was announced in favor of the
Sharks, the fireworks began a couple of days
early.
In the broken record category
(meaning something that repeats itself for those
who didn't listen to music on vinyl), our little
Sharks led the way with the 8&Us taking 84 out
of a possible 100 points and winning all of
their relays. Our 9-10 boys did even better,
winning 49 out of 50 points or 98% of the
points, matching their report card averages.
Overall, the team is continuing to drop time
across the board and with the win, Tenby Chase
is now 3-0 and in a tie for first place.
Nine double winners for Tenby
Chase:
Girls: Larissa Hatzold (8&U
girls 25 back and 25 breast) and Mackenzie
O'Leary (8&U girls 25 freestyle and 25 fly)
Boys: Nick Aubrey (8&U boys
25 back and 25 breast), Connor O’Leary (8&U boys
25 free and 25 fly), Dennis Rooney (9-10 boys 25
back and 25 fly), Matt Gebhardt (11-12 boys 50
free and 50 back), Ryan Gebhardt (11-12 boys 100
IM and 50 fly), Henry Blosfelds (13-14 boys 100
IM and 50 fly), and Rich Ambrose (15-18 boys 100
freestyle and 100 back),.
While we did not have any new
qualifiers, we did have seven Sharks qualifying
in additional strokes so there will be some
fresh paint on the shark fins this week: Nick
Aubrey (8&U Boys 25 Back), Dennis Rooney (9-10
Boys 25 Back and 25 Fly), Mike Allibone (11-12
Boys 50 Back), Matt Gebhardt (11-12 Boys 50
Back), Ryan Gebhardt (11-12 Boys 50 Fly), Henry
Blosfelds (13-14 Boys 100 Free), and Tyler Buek
(13-14 Boys 100 IM). Well done, gentlemen! All
of our qualifiers can be seen here.
June 27th 2009
If the Sharks were in Vegas, Baby, we’d be
letting it ride on 21 again as the Sharks netted
the same exact score as last week with a 342-210
victory against Cherry Valley. If nothing else,
it started getting as warm as Vegas by the end
of the meet. More importantly, we were able to
send Kyle Hatcher to the United States Naval
Academy in winning fashion. As we said at the
meet, Kyle, we wish you fair winds and following
seas and long may your big jib draw.
Our little Sharks led the way once again with
the 8&Us taking 75 out of a possible 100 points
and winning all of their relays, once they got
pointed in the right direction. Overall, the
team took 15 of 20 relays with tons of time
being dropped in each race. Tenby Chase is now
2-0 and in a tie for first place.
Eight double winners for Tenby Chase:
Girls: Brianna Hatzold (9-10 girls 50
freestyle and 25 fly) and Quinn Reynolds (11-12
girls 50 freestyle and 50 fly)
Boys: Nick Aubrey (8-and-under boys 25
freestyle and 25 breast), Connor O’Leary
(8-and-under boys 25 back and 25 fly), Dennis
Rooney (9-10 boys 50 freestyle and 25 breast),
Ryan Gebhardt (11-12 boys 100 IM and 50 breast),
Mike Blaser (13-14 boys 100 freestyle and 50
back), and Henry Blosfelds (13-14 boys 100 IM
and 50 fly).
We had five new qualifiers so there will be some
new shark fins in the Qualifiers Shark Tank.
Larissa Hatzold qualified for the first time as
a Shark in the 8&U 25 freestyle and liked it so
much that she qualified in the 25 back as well.
Congratulations, Larissa! Joining Larissa as
qualifiers for the Sharks are Dennis Rooney
(9-10 Boys 25 Breast), Matt Skotarczak (9-10
Boys 25 Fly), Mike Blaser (13-14 Boys 100 Free),
and Henry Blosfelds (13-14 Boys 100 IM and 50
Fly). That brings the total to 14 qualifiers for
Tenby Chase. We also had six qualifiers
qualifying in new strokes: Nick Aubrey (8&U Boys
25 Free and 25 Breast), Connor O’Leary (8&U Boys
25 Back), Liam Pauli (9-10 Boys 25 Fly), Quinn
Reynolds (11-12 Girls 50 Free and 50 Fly), Matt
Gebhardt (11-12 Boys 50 Fly), and Ryan Gebhardt
(11-12 Boys 100 IM). Well done, Sharks! All of our qualifiers can be seen
here.
June 20th 2009
The Sharks had a wet but exciting opening meet
of the swim season. With our parents
sporting huge umbrellas to keep the Sharks dry
before their races, once they hit the pool and
got wet, our practices in the Arctic waters at
Tenby Chase really paid dividends as we won
eight of ten medley relays on route to a 342 to
210 win over the Woodcrest Sharks. That
little bit of EXTRA did the trick.
Tenby Chase had seven double winners:
GIRLS 8&U Mackenzie O’Leary (25
Free and 25 Fly), and GIRLS 11-12 Quinn Reynolds (50 Free and 50
Back)
BOYS 8&U Connor O’Leary (25
Free and 25 Fly), BOYS 11-12 Matt Gebhardt (100 IM and 50 Fly),
Ryan Gebhardt (50 Free and 50 Breast), BOYS 13-14 Mike Blaser (100
Free and 50 Fly), and Tyler Buek (100 IM and 50 Breast)
We also had nine qualifiers for the Tri-County
Championship. Our qualifiers are Mike
Allibone (11-12 Boys) in the 50 Breast, Nick
Aubrey (8&U Boys) in the 25 Fly, Emma Blosfelds
(9-10 Girls) in the 25 Breast, Tyler Buek (13-14
Boys) in the 50 Breast, Matt Gebhardt (11-12
Boys) in the 100 IM, Ryan Gebhardt
(11-12 Boys) in the 50 Free and 50 Breast,
Connor O’Leary (8&U Boys) in the 25 Free and 25
Fly, Liam Pauli (9-10 Boys) in the 25 Back, and
Quinn Reynolds (11-12 Girls) in the 50 Back.
All of our qualifiers can be seen
here.
August 4th 2008
The Sharks had an excellent weekend in the pool
at Pheasant Run during the Tri-County
Championships. Eight of our ten relay
teams competed and two placed in the Top 12.
We had seven swimmers make it back individually
on Sunday to swim in the finals along with the
8&U Boys Free relay team and the 13-14 Boys Free
relay team. Our graduating seniors looked
quite colorful in the team parade on Sunday and
the Sharkman was also in fine form.
Congratulations again to all of Tenby Chase's
2008 Tri-County Qualifiers: Michael Allibone,
Nick Aubrey, Michael Blaser, Emma Blosfelds,
Henry Blosfelds, Michael Brady, Connor Edel,
Courtney Fitzpatrick, Kelsey Fitzpatrick, Shawn
Fitzpatrick, Matt Gebhardt, Ryan Gebhardt,
Kelsey Goodwin, Seamus Kennedy, Alex Martino,
Connor O'Leary,
Zach Pulley, Brielle Rietzen, Dennis Rooney, Matt Skotarczak,
and Molly Skotarczak.
Good luck in college to all of our seniors.

July 27th 2008
The Sharks had a fine Burlington County
Championship meet at Woodstream, finishing in
7th place overall, just a few points out of 6th
place. We had several relays drop time and
move up in the scoring; lots of swimmers
achieved personal bests; and a few team records
are in danger of falling. Our Sharkman's
debut was a big hit and he's rumored to be
circling the waters at Pheasant Run for the
Tri-County Meet next weekend.
The Sharks had one champion in Kelsey
Fitzpatrick in the 15-18 Girls backstroke.
This extended to seven years a Burlington County
Championship streak of a Fitzpatrick twin as
backstroke champion (actually, if you include
Carly, the Fitzpatrick streak is a few years
longer). It started in 2002 as 12-year old
Kelsey shocked the Sunnybrook home crowd and
beat their heavily favored swimmer. Shawn
kept the streak alive over the next five years.
During that span, Shawn set the meet record for
the 13-14 girls, broke a couple of Sharks
records along the way, and flashed the biggest
smiles after each race. Congrats, Kelsey
and Shawn!
The Sharks also had four top-three finishes.
Matt Skotarczak was gaining on the A Division
swimmers but ran out of pool in recording a 3rd
place finish in the 8&U Free. Later,
Matt joined Nick Aubrey, Connor O'Leary, and
Dylan Pulley to finish 3rd place in the 100 Free
relay. Shawn Fitzpatrick finished third in
the 100 Free while Henry
Blosfelds rediscovered his backstroke after a
four year hiatus
and finished in 3rd place in the 13-14 50 Back.
Well done, Sharks!
The Burlington County Times has some nice
articles from their blogger at the meet:

Our Mini-Sharks gave us a fine showing at the
Riverdel Mini Meet, finishing in 4th Place as a
team and bringing home a big old trophy for our
trophy case! We had some 7 year old
individual winners with Dylan Pulley winning the
25 Free and Connor O'Leary winning the 25 Fly.
The O'Leary pair of Connor and Mackenzie also
got to bring home some trophies as they finished
2nd overall individually in their age groups.
Our six super seniors are leaving the team in
good hands! Results should be posted
here
in the next day or two.
July 19th 2008
The Sharks gave the division champion Wenonah
team a great meet before falling 291 to 263.
The Sharks had rallied to tie the meet before
the free relays but it was not to be.
Everyone swam well and every one of our relays
posted a faster time this week. Well done,
Sharks!
Our six super seniors swam extremely well in
their last home meet as Connor, Kelsey, Shawn,
Seamus, Alex, and Shannon said goodbye to the
pool in fine style and enjoyed sharing their
cake with the entire team. Good luck in
college next month!.
We had six seven double winners:
GIRLS 15-18 Kelsey Fitzpatrick (50 Back, 50 Gly),
Shawn Fitzpatrick (100 IM, 100 Free)
BOYS 9-10 Mike
Allibone (25 Back and 25 Breast), Matt Gebhardt (50
Free and 25 Fly); BOYS 11-12 Ryan Gebhardt (100
IM and 50 Breast); BOYS
13-14 Mike Blaser (100 Free & 50 Fly), and Henry
Blosfelds (50 Back & 50 Breast).
We had five new qualifiers for the Tri-County
Championship to finish up with twenty-one for
2008. We also had one first-time qualifier with
Nick Aubrey in the 8&U Boys 25 Back.
Totally excellent, Nick! Our other
qualifiers were Emma Blosfelds in the 9-10 Girls
25 Breast (by .03 sec), Dennis Rooney in the
9-10 Boys 25 Fly, Courtney Fitzpatrick, showing
her cousins that they're not the only ones who
can swim back, in the 11-12 Girls 50 Back, and
Alex Martino qualifying in his last meet
in the 15-18 Boys 200 IM. We also had
several others qualify in new strokes. Well
done, Sharks!
July 12th 2008
The Sharks were playing short-handed
today but gave Old Orchard a really good meet before falling 301 to 252.
We had six double winners:
BOYS 8&U Connor O'Leary )25 Back & 25
Fly), Matt Skotarczak (25 Free & 25 Breast); BOYS 9-10 Mike Allibone (11/12 50
Breast and 25 Fly); BOYS 13-14 Mike Blaser (100 Free & 50 Back), Henry Blosfelds
(100 IM & 50 Breast); and BOYS 15-18 Rich Ambrose (200 IM & 100 Back).
We had one new qualifier with Ryan
Gebhardt qualifying in the 11-12 Boys 50 Fly. Well done, Ryan!
We have one more dual meet where we
can say goodbye to our graduating seniors (there's a whole bunch of them) on a
winning note so let's practice hard this week, lower our relay times and get a
whole bunch of new qualifiers before we slice up the seniors (or at least their
pictures on the cake).. Go Sharks!
July 3rd 2008
After singing his
commencement speech at his high school graduation two weeks ago, Alex Martino
grabbed the microphone at Tenby Chase last night and gave us a rousing rendition
of our National Anthem. The Sharks went on to win some close medley relays and
Kelly Mesisca and Audrey Reppert gave us their first double wins as Sharks (Go
Kelly, Go Audrey) and the rest of the Sharks enjoyed the cool evening shade and
won a hard fought 340-208 victory over Woodcrest. We had some 9-10 boys once
again maturing before our eyes as 11-12s. We also had some young-uns who had
been watching Michael Phelps and tested out their Olympian starts, getting ready
for the Games of 2020.. Enjoy the Fourth! Go Sharks!
The Sharks had nine
double winners:
GIRLS 8&U Kelly
Mesisca (25 Free and 25 Back), Audrey Reppert (25 Breast and 25 Fly); GIRLS
15-18 Kelsey Fitzpatrick (50 Back and 50 Fly); and Shawn Fitzpatrick (100 IM and
100 Free).
BOYS 9-10 Mike
Allibone (50 Free and 25 Breast), Matt Gebhardt (11-12 50 Back and 11-12 50
Fly); BOYS 11-12 Ryan Gebhardt (50 Free and 50 Breast); BOYS 13-14 Henry
Blosfelds (50 Back and 50 Fly); and BOYS 15-18 Seamus Kennedy (100 Back & 50
Fly).
The Sharks also had
three new qualifiers: Kelsey Goodwin in the 11-12 50 Breast, Brielle Rietzen in
the 15-18 50 Back and Connor Edel in the 15-18 100 Breast. We probably have
another dozen Sharks who are within a half second or so of qualifying so keep on
practicing hard. Congratulations Kelsey, Brielle, and Connor!
June 28th 2008
(6/28/08) The heat was
brutal yet the Sharks were cooking in the pool. We won 15 of 20 relays and got
contributions from a whole bunch of unexpected areas on our way to a
349-197
victory in our first home meet of the year. Well done, Sharks!
The Sharks had ten
double winners:
GIRLS 15-18 Shawn
Fitzpatrick (100 Free and 50 Fly) and Kelsey Fitzpatrick (100 IM and 50 Back).
BOYS 8&U Dylan Pulley (25 Free & 25 Back), BOYS 9-10 Mike Allibone (25 Breast,
25 Fly), Matt Gebhardt (50 Free & 25 Fly), BOYS 11-12 Brennan Edel (100 IM & 50
Breast), Ryan Gebhardt (50 Back and 50 Fly); BOYS 13-14
June 21st 2008
As one of our teenage Sharks said today, we felt
"Invincible." It must have been our old
school tie-dyed team shirts. While it
didn't quite look like that in the beginning of
the meet, we persevered like Vince Papale did
with the Eagles as Kelsey Goodwin earned her
first double win as a Shark in the 100 IM and 50
Breast and the team really got it rolling in the
free relays with Katie Luber overcoming a
teatherball encounter and anchoring a tight 9-10
race, giving us the momentum to take 7 out of 10
free relays to win
314-228.
Go Sharks!
The Sharks had seven double winners:
GIRLS 11-12 Kelsey Goodwin (100 IM and 50
Breast), GIRLS 13-14 Caitlyn Grady (100 Free and
50 Fly), GIRLS 15-18 Kelsey Fitzpatrick (100
Free and 50 Fly) and Shawn Fitzpatrick (100 IM
and 50 Back).
BOYS 9-10 Matt Gebhardt (50 Free & 25 Fly), BOYS
13-14 Henry Blosfelds (100 IM and 50 Breast),
and BOYS 15-18 Seamus Kennedy (200 IM and 100
Back).
We had twelve qualifiers for the Tri-County
Championship. We had three first time
qualifiers with Connor O'Leary in 8&U Boys 25
Back, Matt Skotarczak in the 8&U Boys 25 Fly,
and Molly Skotarczak in the 11-12 Girls 50 Back.
Congratulations Connor, Matt, and Molly!
The rest of our qualifiers are Michael Allibone
(9-10 Boys) in 25 Back and 25 Fly, Matt Gebhardt
(9-10 Boys) in 50 Free and 25 Fly, Zachary
Pulley (9-10 Boys) in 25 Breast, Mike Blaser
(13-14 Boys) in 100 Free, Henry Blosfelds (13-14
Boys) in 100 IM and 50 Breast, Michael Brady
(13-14 Boys) in 50 Fly, Kelsey Fitzpatrick
(15-18 Girls) in 100 Free and 50 Fly, Shawn
Fitzpatrick (15-18 Girls) in 50 Back, and Seamus
Kennedy (15-18 Boys)in 200 IM and 100 Back.
All of our qualfiiers can be seen
here.
August 5-6th 2007
The Tri-County Championship is
over and the Tenby Chase Sharks finished in their highest position since before
anyone on the team was born. While we may not have surprised ourselves,
Tri-County was impressed as our relay teams dropped time, our qualifiers swam
their way into one of the finals, and several team records were broken. The bar
was set higher this year as only the Top 12 places received points.
Nevertheless, we moved up eight spots from last year to finish 14th overall,
ahead of many upper division team, including one A Division team, and nearly
tripling the score of our neighbor, Riverdel. Go Sharks!
The list of our finalists (Top
12) can be seen below. Our record books required some dusting and updating. The
first record of the weekend occurred on Saturday with Mike Blaser breaking the
1996 record of Mike Haigh in the 11-12 Boys 50 Free with a time of 28.28. In the
next heat, Henry Blosfelds broke Mike's record with a new time of 27.99. Henry
and Michael came back the next day to finish 1-2 in Tri-County in the 50 Free,
the first time in recorded history that two TC swimmers have ever shared the top
of the medals platform Also on Sunday, the record book was dusted off as the
oldest record left, a 2:26.20 from 1975 in the 11-12 Boys 200 Medley, was blown
away by the team of Nick Martino, Tyler Buek, Henry Blosfelds, and Mike Blaser
with a new record of 2:20.67. Tyler and Nick both swam personal bests and
collectively dropped over 4 seconds and the boys won their heat by half of a
pool length. Next up was the 15-18 Boys 100 Back record. Seamus Kennedy set the
mark last year at Tri-County and lowered it with a new time of 1:01.34. Henry
then lowered his 11-12 Boys 50 Breast record with a new time of 36.06. Finally,
the 11-12 Boys lowered the 200 Free relay mark for the third straight week with
a new time 2:04.67 and just missed a Tri-Co championship by a few tenths of a
second. Well done, Sharks!
While the records are nice, what
was even more impressive was how many Sharks moved up the rankings to score
points. Emma Blosfelds lowered her 25 breast by more than a second to jump from
a 14th seed to earn a 10th place win for the Sharks. Dennis Rooney was seeded
36th of 37 swimmers in the 25 Fly and moved up 26 spots to get invited back on
Sunday. He then won the consolation heat so confidently that he had time during
the race to check out the competition on both sides. He ended up 7th overall
with the fourth fastest time of the 37 swimmers, Quinn Reynolds was seeded 11th
and moved up to 4th place overall in the 25 Back with two great swims on
Saturday and Sunday. Ryan Gebhardt was seeded 8th in both the 50 Free and 25
Breast and moved into the 6th spot in both races and then moved up one more spot
in both finals to finish 5th overall in both Free and Breast. Shawn Fitzpatrick
came back on Sunday and pulled away after the flip to win the consolation heat
of the 50 Back and get lots of TV time. Kelsey Fitzpatrick swam in the final
heat of the 50 Back and if her arm was a few inches longer, she might have won
the race but nevertheless had a great race and finished second overall. All in
all, it was an incredible and very exciting showing for the Sharks.

The Tenby Chase Sharks had a great showing at
the Riverdel Mini Meet and we even won the 50/50
drawing. Twenty-two 9&U swimmers
participated and did wonderfully. We also
put together a relay team for the adult races.
Recognizing the lack of talent in the ranks of the TC fathers as well as the problem of finding
four jammers that would fit, we opted for an all
women's team of ANNETTE KAELIN, AMY O'DONNELL,
COACH DANIELLE & COACH CARLY and did they ever
rock, setting the Tenby Chase adult 4 x 25 free
relay record. Riverdel normally posts the
results in a few days at their
website.
July 21st 2007
The Tenby Chase Sharks had a tough meet against
Old Orchard and came up on the short end of a
287 to 266 score. Nevertheless, we got to
see Mrs. Fitz give an emotional farewell to Sam
Karpinski and Rob Wilson, two swimmers who has
been leading the Sharks in and out of the pool
for many years. Thank you, Sam and Rob.
The Sharks had
many double winners and at least two new
qualifiers with Tyler Buek qualifying in the
11-12 Boys 50 Breast and Rob Wilson waiting
until the last Tri-County dual meet of his life
to qualify for his first time ever. He
bested the qualifying time in the 15-18
Boys 100 Free by almost a full second.
Well done, Tyler and Rob. We'll post all
of that in the next day or two.
We had two new records set. Kelsey
Fitzpatrick seems to break a record every time
that she swims fly and today was no exception as
she lowered her 15-18 Girls 50 Fly record with a
new time of 31.56.
We also had the oldest record at Tenby Chase
broken. The records on the website are
current and accurate. The ones posted at
the club need to be refreshed and corrected in
some cases. The 11-12 Boys 200 Free relay
record was set on July 29th in 1975 (Mr. Taylor
was a 15-18 Shark at the time) with a time of
2:10.60 by the team of Dzakowic, B Socci, Dennen,
and B Alfieri. Thirty two years later, the
relay team of Nick Martino, Tyler Buek, Mike
Blaser, and Henry Blosfelds shattered the record
by more than two seconds with a new time of
2:08.50. Congratulations Kelsey and 11-12 boys!
July 14th 2007
The Tenby Chase Sharks had their best meet of
the year in beating Wenonah by a score of 336 to
217. If Wenonah had won, they would have
been division champs so this was a terrific
effort by the team. The coaches took
advantage of our developing depth in certain age
groups and juggled relays to earn us a few more
wins and the 13-14 Girls had two amazing races
where they came from behind in the last leg to
touch out the Wenonah swimmer. This team
victory means the Sharks have earned their sixth
straight winning season. The BCT article
is linked
here.
The Sharks had
twelve double winners:
GIRLS 9-10 Quinn Reynolds (25 Breast
and 25 Back), GIRLS 11-12 Taylor
Urian (100 IM and 50 Fly), GIRLS 13-14 Allie Riemel (100 Free and 50
Fly), GIRLS 15-18
Kelsey Fitzpatrick (100 IM and 50 Fly) and Shawn Fitzpatrick (100 Free and
50 Back).
BOYS 8&Under
Dennis Rooney (25 Back and 25 Breast), BOYS 9-10 Ryan Gebhardt (50 Free and
25 Back), BOYS 11-12 Mike Blaser (50 Free and 50 Fly), Henry Blosfelds (100
IM and 50
Back), BOYS 13-14 Rich
Ambrose (100 Free and 50 Back),
BOYS 15-18 Seamus Kennedy (200 IM and 100 Back), and Rob Wilson (100 Free
and 50 Fly).
We had some Tri-County
qualifying races and we'll post those in the
next day or two. All of our qualifiers can be seen
here.
July 7th 2007
The Tenby Chase Sharks had yet another exciting meet
in defeating the Charleston Water Rats by a
score of 305 to 249. We had some records
broken, new qualifiers, more relays dropping
time, and we were also treated to former Eagle,
Vince Papale, signing autographs for the kids.
If you haven't already, rent Invincible,
which tells the story of Vince making the Eagles
team.
The Sharks had
seven double winners:
GIRLS 9-10 Quinn Reynolds (50
Free and 25 Breast), GIRLS 13-14 Allie Riemel (100 Free and 50
Fly), GIRLS 15-18
Kelsey Fitzpatrick (100 Free and 50 Fly) and Shawn Fitzpatrick (100 IM and
50 Back).
BOYS 11-12 Henry Blosfelds (50
Free and 50
Fly), BOYS 13-14 Rich
Ambrose (100 IM and 50 Back),
and BOYS 15-18 Seamus Kennedy (200 IM and 100 Back).
We have at least three new Tri-County
qualifiers, bumping the total up to twenty.
Paige Mollineaux qualified in the 15-18 Girls 50
Fly (Welcome back, Paige!). We also have
two first time qualifiers with Amanda Borgmann
qualifying in the 8&U Girls 25 Breast and Sam
Gray qualifying in the 8&U Boys 25 Breast.
Congratulations Paige, Amanda, and Sam! All of our qualifiers can be seen
here.
We also had two new team records set. Kelsey Fitzpatrick
lowered her record of 31.71 in the 15-18 Girls 50
Butterfly with a new time of 31.62. Henry Blosfelds
broke Grant Zeigler's record
of 32.85 from 2000 in the 11-12 Boys 50 Fly with a new
time of 32.34. Well done, Kelsey and
Henry! All of the records can be
seen
here.
June 30th 2007
The Tenby Chase Sharks had another exciting meet
from start to finish. The meet was nip and
tuck the whole way and our neighbors from
Riverdel just squeaked by with a four point win.
The amount of time that the Sharks dropped in
their relays was incredible. Almost every
group dropped 5 to 15 seconds since last week.
You can stand proud of your hard work and
realize that the season is still young and that
our goals are still there waiting to be achieved
one stroke at a time. Practice even harder
this week, enjoy the Fourth of
July and let's get ready for the Charleston
Water Rats on Saturday at home.
The BCT has some pictures (of Megan Croly,
Caitlyn Fitzpatrick, and Allie Reimel) from the
meet
here along with
an article
here.
The Sharks had
nine double winners:
GIRLS 9-10 Quinn Reynolds (25 Breast and 25 Fly), GIRLS
11-12 Taylor Urian (100 IM and 50 Fly), GIRLS 13-14 Allie Riemel (100 Free and 50
Fly), and GIRLS 15-18
Kelsey Fitzpatrick (100 IM and 50 Fly).
BOYS 8&U Dennis Rooney (25
Breast and 25 Fly), BOYS 9-10 Ryan Gebhardt (50 Free and 25
Breast), BOYS
11-12 Michael Blaser (50 Free and 50 Fly), Henry Blosfelds (100 IM and 50
Breast), BOYS 15-18 Seamus (100 Free and 100 Back).
We more than doubled the number of Tri-County
qualifiers, bumping the total up to seventeen.
For the first time since at least the early 90s,
the Sharks have qualifiers in each and every age
group in both boys and girls. Congrats,
Sharks! The NINE new qualifiers are Allie
Mee in the 8&U Girls Back and Breast, Liam Pauli
in the 8&U Boys 25 Back (for both Liam and
Allie, this is their first time ever qualifying.
Well done!), Quinn Reynolds in the Girls 9-10 25
Breast, Mike Allibone in the 9-10 Boys 25 Back,
Matt Gebhardt in the 9-10 Boys 25 Fly, Taylor
Urian in the 11-12 Girls 50 Fly, Nick Martino in
the 11-12 Boys 50 Back, Allie Reimel in the
13-14 Girls 50 Fly, and Mike Brady in the 13-14
Boys 50 Fly. We also had several Sharks
qualify in new strokes: Dennis Rooney in
the 8&U Boys 25 Fly, Ryan Gebhardt in the 9-10
Boys 50 Free, Mike Blaser in the 11-12 Boys 50
Free, Kelsey Fitzpatrick in the 15-18 Girls 100
IM, Shawn Fitzpatrick in the 15-18 Girls 50
Back, and Seamus Kennedy in the 15-18 Boys 100
Free. All of our qualifiers can be seen
here.
We had three new team records set.
Last year, Kelsey Fitzpatrick broke Kim Lewis'
ten year old record in the 15-18 Girls 50
Butterfly so this year, she's chasing herself
and she won today, breaking her record of 32.25
with a new time of 31.71. Henry Blosfelds
also had a record breaking day. He topped
Mike Haigh's 1996 record of 1:15.58 in the 11-12
Boys 100 IM with a new time of 1:13.79. He
followed that by breaking Grant Zeigler's record
of 37.65 from 2000 in the 50 Breast with a new
time of 36.62. Well done, Kelsey and
Henry! All of the records can be
seen
here.
June 23rd 2007
The Tenby Chase Sharks started off the Tri-County
Season with a tough win over Georgetown.
The Burlington County Times link is
here.
The meet was very exciting with several photo
finishes in the relays and with the Sharks
prevailing by a score of 312 to 242. It
was also great to see the Big Sharks cheering so
loudly for their Little Sharks. Keep
working hard, Sharks, and let's get ready for
the B Meet at Riverton on Wednesday and Riverdel
at home on Saturday.
Tenby Chase had
ten double
winners:
GIRLS 9-10 Quinn Reynolds (25 Breast and 25 Fly), GIRLS
11-12 Taylor Urian (100 IM and 50 Fly), GIRLS 13-14 Caitlyn Grady (100 Free

Rooney (8&U Boys) 25 Breast.
August 8th 2006
The Tri-County Championship is over and the
Tenby Chase Sharks were awesome with relay teams
dropping tons of time, lots of our qualifiers
swimming their way into one of the finals, and
several records being broken. We moved up one
spot from last year to finish 22nd overall,
scoring 20 more points than last year. Go
Sharks!
The list of our finalists (Top 18) can be seen
below. Our record books have required some
updating. The first record of the weekend
occurred on Saturday with the Girls 15-18 Medley
Relay Team of Shawn Fitzpatrick, Caitlyn
Fitzpatrick, Paige Mollineaux, and Kelsey
Fitzpatrick breaking their 7 day old record with
a new time of 2:11.31. On Sunday, the day
started with the 15-18 Boys breaking the
fourteen year old Tenby Chase record of the
Medley Relay Team of Schumaker, Lipson, Tedesco,
and Kroupa. Sean Tedesco's Tri-County records
are still standing and Josh Lipson's Shark
records are still standing so our boys had one
heck of a swim. Seamus Kennedy, Connor Edel,
Grant Ziegler, and Rob Wilson broke the record
with a new time of 1:54.48. Shawn and Seamus
followed up their medley records by each
breaking their own backstroke records on Sunday.
Shawn has a new 50 Back time and record of 31.60
seconds while Seamus lowered his 100 Back record
to 1:01.89. Well done, Sharks!

The Sharks swam a great meet against our neighbors from Riverdel. The
Stingrays really pushed the Sharks in the pool and Tenby Chase responded by
winning by a margin of more than 100 points to finish up the dual meet
season in 2nd place with a record of 4-1 and bid farewell to Garrett and
Grant on a high note. Those new car magnets worked
their magic as well as looking good on our cars. We would like to congratulate all of
the Sharks for such a great effort. Our coaches, Danielle and Carly,
have done such a wonderful job with the Sharks this summer and a big hug and thanks
go out to both of them. As our shirts say, "We are what we repeatedly
do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
The Burlington County Times
has a great article on the Sharks and the meet with lots of pictures and
quotes from Grant and Coach Danielle. The article will be posted
here.
The BCT posted pictures of Courtney, Kelsey, and Shelby
here
(click
on Sunday).

25 Breast (our seventh 8&U boy); Michael Brady in the 11-12 Boys 50 Fly

is his first time qualifying which is a good example of what can be achieved
with hard work and perseverance); Allie "Two Hands" Reimel in the 13-14 Girls 100 IM; John Marrazzo
(taking a break from his acting gig) in the 13-14 Boys 50 Breast; and Brielle Rietzen in the 15-18 Girls

Meghan Mahan worked her "Kate Smith" magic with a beautiful National Anthem and the third meet of the year against
Wenonah was an exciting one as we came from behind on two of the last four
free relays and hung on for a close win. The final score was 291 to
263. We would like to congratulate all of our swimmers for some
outstanding swimming as well as to the swimmers who swam up and to ALL of our
relays. An extra special thanks goes to our coaches Danielle and Carly.
The chlorinated water sure tastes great with the traditional coach dunking
after a close win.

GIRLS 13-14 Shelby Mollineaux (100 Free and 50 Back); and GIRLS
15-18 Shawn Fitzpatrick (100 IM and 100 Free).

The second meet of the year against Tavistock Hills did not go quite as well as
the first meet. Tavistock Hills is a very strong team and is likely to go
undefeated this year and move up a division. Tenby Chase had a lot of great
swims but they had just a little more depth than us. The final score was 310 to
242.
Tenby Chase had seven double winners:
GIRLS 11-12 Taylor Urian (50 back and 50 fly); GIRLS 15-18 Kelsey Fitzpatrick
(100 IM and 50 fly), and Shawn Fitzpatrick (100 free and 50 back).

qualifying in the 100 Free; Grant Zeigler in the 200 IM and 50 Fly; and Michael

meter Butterfly, besting Kim Lewis' mark from 1998 with a time of 32.25. Well
done, ladies!

The Tenby Chase Sharks put forth a great performance in the pool as well as
behind the scenes as hosts of a truly great Burlington County Swimming
Championships. We finished in 7th place once again but we are inching
closer to 6th. It seemed like just about everyone was dropping time in the
pool and we have two champions with Shawn Fitzpatrick winning the 15-18 Girls 50
yard backstroke (and tying Carly's record) with a time of 32.39 and Paige
Mollineaux winning the 13-14 Girls 50 Fly and breaking her own record with a
time of 31.70. Seamus Kennedy also set a new team record by knocking a
couple of seconds off his existing record with a time of 1:03.34 in the 100
Back. Great job everyone!

The Tenby Chase Sharks had a great ending to the dual meet season in beating
Gibbstown 368 to 174. More importantly, we got to end Amanda's regular
season with
the Sharks on a high note. We will miss you next year, Amanda, and all of
us wish you the very best at the University of Pittsburgh. Don't forget to
scream E-A-G-L-E-S often and loud; it's a surefire way to meet new friends in
Pittsburgh.
The Sharks ended up with a 3-2 record in our first year in the much tougher "E"
Division. Next year, we'll shoot for the division title. Thanks to all
of our parents and friends who helped with this and all of the dual meets. Burlington
County is six days away! Woo-hoo!
Tenby Chase had 10 Double Winners:
GIRLS 15-18 Kelsey Fitzpatrick 100 Free and 50 Fly,
Shawn Fitzpatrick 100 IM and 50 Back; 13-14 Paige Moillineaux 100 Free and 50
Fly, Shelby Mollineaux 100 IM and 50 Back; and 8&U Quinn Reynolds 25 Free and

BOYS 15-18 Seamus Kennedy 100
Free and 50 Fly, 13-14 Kyle Hatcher 100 Free
and 50 Fly, 11-12 Rich Ambrose 100 IM and 50 Back, 9-10 Henry Blosfelds 50 Free

Caitlyn Fitzpatrick in the 13-14 50 Breast. We
now have 21 Tri-County qualifiers that are all listed
here.

The Tenby Chase Sharks had a great meet in beating Cherry Valley 334 to 218.
We had lots of excellent swims and almost everyone lowered their times. Thanks to all
of our parents and friends who helped with our first home meet. We have
one more "A"
meet at home against Gibbstown that gives us a chance to have a winning season
and finish on a high note before hosting Burlington County.
Tenby Chase had 9 Double Winners:
GIRLS 13-14 Shelby Mollineaux 100 IM and 50 Back,
11-12 Kira Blosfelds 100 IM and 50 Back, and 8&U Quinn Reynolds 25 Free and Breast.
BOYS 15-18 Grant Zeigler 100

Martino in the 9-10 50 Free, and Taryn Hatcher in the 11-12 50 Breast. We
now have 18 Tri-County qualifiers that are all listed
here.
We have a number of swimmers who are really close to qualifying so let's work
real hard this week and bump that number over 20.
July 10th 2005
*** The Tenby Chase Sharks had a tough meet in losing to Woodcrest 215 to 330.
They had talented swimmers in every age group and our Coaches tried their best
to try to steal a win but it just wasn't to be although we did have some great
swims by our youngest swimmers. Thanks to all our parents who helped with the
meet in any way. We have two more "A" meets at home to get the Shark fans
jumping like the above picture.
Tenby
Chase had 6 Double Winners:
GIRLS 15-18 Kelsey Fitzpatrick 100 Free and 50
Fly, Shawn Fitzpatrick 100 Free and 50 Fly, and 8&U Katie Rynearson 25 Back and
Fly (smiling the whole time).
BOYS 13-14 Kyle Hatcher 100 Free and 50 Fly,
9-10 Henry Blosfelds 25 Breast and Fly, and 8&U Ryan Gebhardt 25 Back and Fly
(great job, Ryan).
We also have a new Tenby Chase Shark record in the 100 meter Backstroke. Seamus
Kennedy swam a 1:05.90 to break the record set by a Tenby legend, Sean Tedesco,
in 1994. In another lesson on hard work and commitment, this record is not a
surprise. Seamus has been practicing each winter with the YMCA Hurricanes team
and putting in tons of practice time, hitting the weight room, and getting
better each and every year. Congratulations, Seamus! Our club record holders can
be seen here. Tri-County qualifiers are listed here.

Congratulations to the Tenby Chase Sharks on their first win of the 2005 swim
season. We defeated the Riverdel Stingrays by the score of 345 to 208.
It was a total team effort as we won 9 out of 10 medley relays and 8 out of 10
free relays. Special thanks to our coaches Danielle and Carly for a job
well done. There's a big write-up in the
Burlington County Times with lots of quotes,
pictures, and our Shark tattoo was on the front page of the
Sunday Sports section.
Most of all, a super special thank you to all the parents who timed, officiated,
cooked, donated, served, rounded up swimmers, cheered, and supported our team.
We couldn't do it without you!!!
Tenby Chase had 11 Double Winners:

Blosfelds (11-12 Girls) 100 IM & 50 Back, Rich Ambrose returning from the Magic

The Tenby Chase Sharks
swam quite well but just got nipped in the relays in losing to the Georgetown
Dolphins 264-290. There are four more dual meets for the Sharks to show
the E Division that we're still thinking and swimming like champions.
Tenby Chase had 5 Double Winners:
GIRLS 13-14 Shelby
Mollineaux 100 IM & 50 Back, 11-12 Kira Blosfelds 100 IM & 50 Back (her
first double win in five years with the Sharks), and 8&U Quinn Reynolds 25 back
and 25 Free.
BOYS 15-18 Grant Zeigler
200 IM & 100 Breast (Welcome Back, Grant!), and Henry Blosfelds 12&U 100 IM &
9-10 25 Breast.
We had ten Tri-County Qualifiers. All of our Tri-County qualifiers are listed
here.
A big congratulations goes out to Kyle Hatcher for qualifying in the 13-14 50
Fly. He's been swimming since he was a minnow and this is his first time
qualifying. Next time, when your parents tell you to keep at it and don't
give up, you'll know what they mean.
Next "A" meet is Riverdel at home on Saturday. Go
Sharks!

We have a new team suit this
year. It will be good for this season and next season. You can purchase it
at Danzien & Quigley in Cherry Hill. Friday, June 24th, Olympic
swimmer Ed Moses will be at D&Q from 1-4. They have our suits on display
and can help properly fit you. The suits should fit tightly as they are for the
meets and will stretch in the water. It will last longer if you practice in
another suit and save the team suit for just the meets. Any questions, please
e-mail
Kathy.

the waiver before they are permitted to practice. The 65 degree
afternoons are heating the pool up quickly. Practice starts on Tuesday,
May 31st in the afternoons.

Swim Team News (end of 2004 Season)
The Sharks finished up the season in
extremely fine fashion at the Tri-County Championship Meet. We
have a Tri-County Champion in Shawn Fitzpatrick in the
50 backstroke in a team record breaking time of 31.68. We broke 6 team records,
scored 85 more points than last year, and moved up 9 spots in the standings,
finishing in 18th place overall.
This was the
Sharks best showing in Tri-County in many, many years. It was an outstanding
job by all of our swimmers, by Coach Jarrett, and by Coach Danielle. We
had 12 swimmers make it back to the finals on Sunday, along with our relay teams
in the 13-14 Girls. Along with Shawn's record, we had a record setting
swim from Paige Mollineaux in the 13-14 Girls 50 Fly, breaking her own mark with
a time of 31.94. The 13-14 Girls relay team of Shawn, Caitlyn, Paige, and
Kelsey continued their limbo season of how low can you go with record times in
both relays (2:13.00 in the 200 medley and 2:01.69 in the 200 free). Carly, showing us that she still had a little bit of gas
left in her tank, won both of her races (100 Free, 50 Back) on Sunday in record
breaking fashion. Of course, both of the records were already hers.
If you wanted a lesson in how an Olympic quality backstroke finish can win a
close race, Carly's finish was a sight to behold and a great way to
end her swim season with the Sharks. Celine Murt and Shelby Mollineaux
also had a great Sunday with Celine swimming her best time and finishing in 10th
place in the 11-12 Girls 50 Breast while Shelby bettered her times and finished
in 12th in the 11-12 Girls 100 IM and in 11th in the 50 Back.
Our boys had
quite a showing, as well. The 13-14 Boys Medley relay (Seamus, Connor,
Kyle, and Alex) continued to lower their time in the Medley relay and finished
in 12th place overall while the 9-10 Boys 200 Free Relay (Henry Blosfelds, Nick
Martino, Mike Blaser, and Nick McAneney) had a great race and finished in 11th
place. Our 9-10 Boys landed Nick McAneney (50 Free) and Henry Blosfelds
(25 Fly) in the Championship heat while the 13-14 Boys put Seamus (50 Back and
50 Fly) and Connor (50 Breast) into the Championship heat. Our little guys
did great in their first Tri-County Championship with Matthew Ade finishing in
12th place in the 8&U 25 Fly and with Bryant Murt finishing in 13th place in the
25 Back.
Congratulations again to all of Tenby Chase's 2004 Tri-County Qualifiers:
Matthew Ade, Richard Ambrose, Henry Blosfelds, Connor Edel,
Carly Fitzpatrick, Kelsey Fitzpatrick, Shawn Fitzpatrick, Taryn Hatcher, Seamus Kennedy,
John Marrazzo, Nick McAneney, Paige Mollineaux, Shelby Mollineaux,

July 31st 2004
Burlington County was a blast. All of the Sharks
swam great. The 8&U boys (Connor, Ryan G, Matthew, and Bryant) knocked
massive amounts of time off their relays to move up into the top six in both relays. Just
about every relay dropped time and most swimmers had their best race of the
year. An awesome job all around. Coach Jarrett and Coach Danielle
deserve a big high 5 for getting everyone so well prepared.
Our record breaking 13-14 girls continued their demolition
of the record books. Shawn, Caitlyn, Paige, and Kelsey knocked 5 seconds
off their team record time and upset all of the "A" Division teams with a time
of 2:13.82. Kelsey then won the 100 Free, passing the number 1 seeded
Deerbrook swimmer on the last leg. Shawn then broke Kelsey's team record
in the 50 Back with a time of 32.45. That time also earned Shawn a place
in the Burlington County Championship record books. Later, Paige knocked a
second off her team record with a time of 32.10 to win the 50 Fly. We
thought the magic had ended with the 200 Free Relay only to see the girls rally
with Kelsey pulling off a come from behind victory on the last leg and
touch out a win with a new record time of 2:02.76.
July 24th-25th 2004
It was a very special day for the Sharks. We won the big meet against
Charleston to clinch the "F" Division Championship and Charleston
learned that you don't come into our house and lead cheers from our diving board. Next year, it's on to
"E" and our neighbors from Riverdel. Everyone from our Team President,
Kathy Fitzpatrick, on down to our smallest minnows need to be congratulated on a
job well done.
We also need to congratulate Michelle Szeliga and Carly
Fitzpatrick on their high school graduations and wish them the best of luck in
college in the fall. It's been a pleasure for the entire Swim Team Family
to watch these two grow as swimmers but more importantly
as intelligent and caring young women with bright futures in front of them.
Next summer, maybe we'll be able to convince Michelle to swim one more year and
convince Carly to be the presenter to the first recipient of the
Carly Fitzpatrick Most Valuable Swimmer Award. The inscription on her
award plaque (now in our Swim Team Trophy Case) reads as follows:
"An award established on July
24th, 2004 to honor a lifelong member of the Tenby Chase Swim Team who dedicated
herself and her energies to make the Tenby Chase Sharks a competitive team in
the Tri-County league. She consistently demonstrated leadership in effort,
dedication and attitude. She was a champion swimmer who loved to compete and
would do anything required to help and support the team.
This award is given by the
Tenby Chase Swim Team Family"
Tenby Chase had 12 double winners in the Charleston
meet:
GIRLS 15-18 Carly Fitzpatrick
100 free & 50 back; 13-14 Kelsey Fitzpatrick 100 free & 50 Fly, Paige Mollineaux
100 IM & 50 fly; 11-12 Shelby Mollineaux 100 IM & 50 Back, Brieanne Urian 50
free & 50 fly, and 8&U Quinn Reynolds 25 back & 25 fly (Quinn rocked in the
Riverdel Mini-Meet on Sunday, placing in the top 5 in all of her races and
swimming an awesome race in her first IM. Michele Taylor also did a great
job, setting personal bests in all of her races).
BOYS 13-14 Connor Edel 100 IM &
50 breast, Seamus Kennedy 100 free & 50 back; 11-12 Richard Ambrose 50 free & 50
fly, John Marrazzo 100 IM & 50 breast; 9-10 Nicholas McAneney 50 free & 25
breast, and Henry Blosfelds 25 back & 25 fly (Henry had a great Riverdel Mini
Meet, winning the free, breast, and IM to take home the high point award for 9
year old boys).
We don't have the official tally of how many "Clean Sweeps"
(Sharks taking 1-2-3 in a race) there were against Charleston but Mrs. Fitz has
been spotted at Staples buying more color printer cartridges so the guess here
is that were probably a few more than last week's meet against Tavistock Hills.
No recap of a Tenby Chase swim meet is complete without
mentioning a new record from our 13-14 year old girls. This is the second
time Paige Mollineaux broke her own team record in the 50 meter butterfly, this
week with a race of 33.07 seconds. In the medley relay, Shawn, Caitlyn,
Paige, and Kelsey lowered their time for the fourth straight week and lowered
the team record for the fourth straight week with a time of 2:18.64.
Our final two Tri-County Qualifiers were Brieanne Urian
(11-12) in 50 fly and Richard Ambrose in the 50 free.
Congratulations! All of our Tri-County qualifiers are listed
here.
July 17th 2004
A big thanks and congratulations to all of our Tenby Chase swimmers. You
swam fast and won the meet. Tavistock Hills is a very talented and
determined team and they pushed us to excel today. Thanks go out to the
entire Shark family for all of your support in today's meet. It seemed
that the parents were more nervous today than the swimmers. Finally, a
special thanks is needed for Coach Jarrett & Coach Danielle and the wonderful
job that they did in preparing you all for this meet. Let's do them and
all of us proud and win it all next Saturday!
The final score was Tenby Chase 323, Tavistock Hills
228.
Tenby Chase had 9 double winners:
GIRLS 15-18 Carly Fitzpatrick
100 IM & 50 Back, Kelsey Fitzpatrick (swimming up) 100 free & 50 Fly,
13-14 Paige Mollineaux
50 breast & 50 fly, Shawn Fitzpatrick 100 IM & 50 Back, and 11-12 Shelby
Mollineaux 100 IM & 50 Back.
BOYS 15-18 Seamus Kennedy
(swimming up) 100 back & 50 fly, 13-14 Connor Edel 100 IM & 50 breast, Kyle
Hatcher 100 Free & 50 Fly, and 9-10 Henry Blosfelds 50 free & 25 back.
In the broken record category (literally and
figuratively), the 13-14 Girls relay team of Caitlyn
Fitzpatrick, Paige Mollineaux, Shawn Fitzpatrick, and Kelsey Fitzpatrick
broke records for the third straight meet with a time of 2:04.62 in the Free
Relay and a time of 2:19.47 in the 13-14 Girls Medley Relay.
We had also two new Tri-County Qualifiers with Allie
Stathius
(9-10 Girls) in the 50 Free and the 25 Breast and Taryn Hatcher, finally trading
in her soccer cleats for swim goggles, in the 11-12 Girls 50 Breast.
Congratulations! All of our Tri-County qualifiers are listed
here. If one of our 15-18 Boys can
step up next week, we'll have qualifiers in each and every age group.
July 10th 2004
Tenby Chase 425, Meadowbrook 113
Tenby Chase had 12 double winners:
GIRLS 15-18 Carly Fitzpatrick
100 Free & 50 Back, 13-14 Kelsey Fitzpatrick 100 free & 50 Fly, Paige Mollineaux
50 fly & 100 IM, 11-12 Brieanne Urian 50 free & 50 back, and 8&U Quinn Reynolds
25 back & 25 fly.
BOYS 13-14 Connor Edel 100 IM &
50 breast, Seamus Kennedy 100 free & 50 back, 11-12 Richard Ambrose 50 free & 50
breast, John Marrazzo 100 IM & 50 fly, 9-10 Henry Blosfelds 50 free & 25 back,
8&U Bryant Murt 25 free & 25 back), and Matthew Ade 25 breast & 25 fly.
Three Tenby Chase Team Records were broken! Paige
Mollineaux set a new Tenby Chase team record in the 13-14 Girls 50 Fly with a
33.24, breaking Kelsey's record from last week. The third time is the
charm as in their third free relay of the year, the 13-14 Girls team of Caitlyn
Fitzpatrick, Paige Mollineaux, Shawn Fitzpatrick, and Kelsey Fitzpatrick finally
broke the record from 1997 with a time of 2:06.43. Coach Danielle was part
of the team that set the record way back then so it is with some sadness that we
must completely erase, delete, and remove her name from the record books. The
same girls also broke their own 13-14 Girls Medley Relay team record set last
week.
We had also two new Tri-County Qualifiers with Matthew Ade
(8&U Boys) in the 25 Fly and Bryant Murt (8&U Boys) in the 25 Back.
Congratulations, boys! All of our Tri-County qualifiers are listed
here.
July 3rd 2004
Tenby Chase Swim Club defeated Haddontowne 388 to 141.
Tenby Chase is now 2-0 in F Division. Two Tenby Chase Team Records were
broken: 13-14 Girls Medley Relay of Shawn Fitzpatrick, Caitlyn
Fitzpatrick, Paige Mollineaux, and Kelsey Fitzpatrick broke the 1998 record
with a time of 2:20.94 (they were also a split second away from
wiping Coach Danielle off the record books with their free relay time) and
Kelsey Fitzpatrick lowered her Tenby Chase team record in the 13-14 Girls 50 Fly
with a 33.39. Outstanding job, ladies!
Tenby Chase had 7 Double Winners:
GIRLS 15-18 Carly Fitzpatrick 100 IM & 50 Back, 13-14
Kelsey Fitzpatrick 100 Free & 50 Fly, and Shawn Fitzpatrick 100 Free (swimming
up in Girls 15-18) & 50 Back.

McAneney 50 Free & 25 Breast.
We had one new Tri-County Qualifier with Seamus Kennedy
(13-14 Boys) in the 50 Back & 50 Fly. All of our Tri-County qualifiers are listed
here.
June 26nd 2004 (updated 6/29)

great job today. Our 8&U swimmers rock and should be commended for such a
wonderful effort in their first meet of the year. Also, a big
congratulations to Quinn Reynolds for qualifying for the first
time and John Marrazzo for working hard to get back to Tri-County after a four
year absence! All of our Tri-County qualifiers are listed

Spring 2004
The Tenby Chase Swim Team is
looking forward to the 2004 swim season. We have set the goal of winning
the "F" Division and moving up. Jarrett Vine will be returning as our Head
Coach as will our Assistant Coach, Danielle Hoey. Despite what the 11-12
year old girls may say, they are not getting married any time soon. A
detailed informational packet will be given to all swim team families at the
annual Parent's Meeting to be held in early June.
As in past years, one parent MUST
attend the MANDATORY REGISTRATION and sign up their children for the swim team.
This registration will be held at the pool on Saturday, May 15th and Saturday,
May 22nd. The family registration fee is $50.00 for one child and $75.00
for two or more children. This fee is assessed to offset the cost of the
team gifts and team parties. This fee also includes the end of the year
Adult Social.
Your children are insured through
policies paid for by the Tenby Chase Swim Club as issued by the Tri-County
Swimming but you must sign a waiver releasing these organizations from any
liability. This waiver MUST be signed BEFORE your child will be allowed to
practice with the team.
No child will be permitted to
practice or participate with the swim team until the waiver has been signed and
the family registration fee has been paid.
All communication for the team is
done through e-mail. It will be supplemented with on-line postings here.

Kathy Fitzpatrick - Aquatics
Swim Team News (end of 2003 Season)
The Sharks finished up the season in fine fashion at the Tri-County Meet. We
have another Tri-County Champ in Kelsey Fitzpatrick, her second in a row in the
50 backstroke, following up last year's gold medal in the 11-12 back with a gold
in the 13-14 back. In getting her gold, Kelsey broke big sis Carly's team record
in the 50 back.
Kelsey wasn't alone in swimming her best as almost all of our qualifiers and
relay teams swam their best times of the year in the meet. It was an outstanding
job by all of our swimmers, by Coach Jarrett, and by Coach Danielle.
Congrats again to all of Tenby Chase's 2003 Tri-County Qualifiers: Stefanie
Ade, Brian Baiada, Michael Blaser, Henry Blosfelds, Tyler Buek, Connor Edel,
