GO SHARKS!

Meet News

(archives are here)

(7/31/10) For the second week in a row, the Sharks drove to Westwood and swam really fast. Tenby Chase had a great showing at the 48th Burlington County Championship meet, finishing in 8th place overall, just a few points out of 7th place. The relays did well and many swimmers are peaking at the right time of the year and Maggie McCann swam her final, closing, concluding, very last race as a Shark in the free relay. She and Keith led the Sharks in the parade and Sharkman is still snacking on that same pair of legs and there were totally awesome t-shirt decorations on everyone, including Coach Katie, Ronessa, and Seamus. It was a long day for the swimmers and parents but the Sharks are looking good for the Tri-County Championships next weekend.

The Sharks have two new champions in Mackenzie O'Leary in the 8&U Girls 25 Free and Matt Gebhardt in the 11-12
Boys 50 Fly. Congrats, Mackenzie and Matt!  Tenby Chase also had three Top 3 finishers with Molly Skotarczak in the 13-14 Girls 100 IM, Michael Allibone in the 11-12 Boys 50 Back, and Emma Blosfelds in the 11-12 Girls 50 Breast. Super marvelous swimming, Sharks!

I can't forget to commend our Adult Relay team for a job WELL DONE!
They not only took first in the initial relay but had to come back in a swim off with the second place team.  We SMOKED them!!
Coaches Katie, Ronessa, Seamus and Mr. Miller (Jake and Taylor's dad) were true SHARKS in the pool..They won the trophy too!!

(7/6/10) The Tri-County swim league normally posts all of the times from the A meets on their website on Tuesday night or Wednesday night.  The link is here.

(6/29/10) The Burlington County Times had a photographer at our meet on Saturday and their pictures can be seen here.  We also have several parents snapping pictures and we'll compile those onto a DVD before the end of the season.

(6/19/10) The Time Trials went great.  There were lots of fast swims and lots of homework for the coaches before the first dual meet of the year, a home meet against Woodbine on Saturday.  We have a pasta party Friday night at 6 pm.  A few of the Sharks are going to be graduating from Delran High School Friday night (well done!) and we know that they'll be well rested for the meet.  We also have some Sharks graduating the Middle School on Thursday so don't forget to congratulate at our pasta party.

(6/16/10) More B meet changes.  Our B Meet against Meadowbrook has been cancelled.  Unfortunately, they do not have enough swimmers to compete.  Also, there is a possibility that our B meet at Fox Hollow on June 30th may be moved to the 29th.  That should be finalized one way or the other this week.

(6/13/10) Our first B Meet has been changed.  We will be swimming at Fox Hollow on June 30th.  Fox Hollow is hosting the Tri-County Championships this year so it will give us an opportunity to check out the pool

(6/1/10) The swim team registration form and waiver is posted here.

(5/26/10) The July 3rd meet against Woodcrest has been moved to Friday night, July 2nd, at 6 pm.

(5/8/10) The swim season begins the Tuesday after Memorial Day so everyone needs to get their registration forms to Stephanie Aubrey.  Thank you in advance.

(5/8/10) The 2010 schedule has been posted here.

(2/27/10) We are very excited to introduce you to our new coaching staff. We had fifteen applicants for our positions and had several interviews and feel that we’ve put together the best coaching staff possible for Tenby Chase. Katie Ruff, Ronessa Selfridge, and Seamus Kennedy have the knowledge, drive, and enthusiasm to bring out the best from our young swimmers.

(7/16/09) We have four swimmers who are graduating seniors and will be swimming in their last home meet as a Shark on Saturday against Charleston.  In alphabetical order, they are Kristen Marrazzo, Paige Mollineaux, Brielle Rietzen, and Brieanne Urian.  These four young ladies have been representing the Sharks in fine fashion both in and out of the pool.  All of them will be missed dearly as it was a pleasure for all to see them grow as individuals and we wish them the best as they head towards college in the fall.  Go Sharks!  Go Class of 2009!

(7/5/09) Picture Day is Friday at 10 am, bring your team t-shirt and a smile.

(6/13/09) The first volume of the team newsletter can be seen here.  It has the schedule for all of the meets, team parties, team picture date, directions to the meet, and much more.  Also, if you still need a team registration form, click here.

(6/13/09) The time trials went really well.  The coaches are really happy with the times.  That being said, there's still a lot of work to do between now and our first meet, next Saturday.  We also need to finalize volunteers for the next three weeks as we're going to have three A meets and two B meets all before the 4th of July.  Check your e-mail and please sign up for a position at one of the meets.  Thank you in advance for your help.

(6/2/09) For new swimming families, we have a Swim Team Frequently Asked Questions section that should answer most of your questions about summer swimming.  For any other questions, please talk to our Aquatics Director Stefanie Aubrey, our coaches, and other parents.

(5/12/09) The team schedule webpage. has been updated.  The big change from last year is that we added an additional "B" meet to give our younger swimmers more opportunities to swim.  We've succeeded in getting the Fourth of July meet moved from Saturday to Thursday so if you want to head to the Shore for the Fourth or party at the swim club's Fourth of July party, the choice is yours.

(4/23/09) The team registration forms are here.
